now that you’re done with the specs, let’s begin our comparison.
Lenovo S5 Pro vs Redmi Note 5 Pro : Display
The Lenovo S5 Pro as stated in the above chart comes with a 6.18 inch Amoled display which is a good thing. Many people prefer having Amoled display over any other. because the colours on this display are punchier and a bit more saturated that everyone likes.
While on the other hand the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 5.99 inch IPS LCD which is definitely not bad, colours are natural, blacks are deep too, viewing angles are great but they’re just a bit behind from Amoled panels.
The size of the screens is different too. The display on the Lenovo S5 pro is a bit larger than the ones on the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
PS: the Lenovo S5 Pro even features a notch up top!
So if having a good and bigger display is your top most priority then you can go with the Lenovo S5 Pro.
Lenovo S5 Pro vs Redmi Note 5 Pro : Gaming & Performance
Since both these devices come with the same Snapdragon 636 chipset. there isn’t supposed to be any difference between both of these phones. But since the Lenovo S5 Pro has 6 GB of RAM compared to the 4 GB on the Redmi Note 5 Pro, you might see a better multi-tasking performance on the Lenovo S5 Pro.
In gaming also you won’t notice any difference since both of these come with the same CPU and GPU that is Snapdragon 636 and Adreno 509 GPU.
But if gaming is your top most priority then you will obviously require more battery capacity and the Redmi note 5 pro has the bigger battery between these both. So you should go with the Redmi Note 5 Pro for gaming.
Lenovo S5 Pro vs Redmi Note 5 Pro : Battery
Straight up, the Redmi Note 5 Pro has a larger 4,000 mAh battery compared to the 3,500 mAh on the Lenovo S5 Pro.
But the Lenovo S5 Pro comes with a type-c port for charging with fast charging which the Redmi Note 5 Pro doesn’t. So you decide what you want; bigger battery or faster charging?
Lenovo S5 Pro vs Redmi Note 5 Pro : Camera
As we all know, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is apparently the best camera phone in its price range.
- The images are sharp
- well-detailed
- colours are great
- portrait mode works great
- videos have EIS support
- selfie camera also takes great pictures.
Everything about the Redmi Note 5 Pro camera is great. Will the Lenovo S5 Pro be able to take over on this camera beast?
Well, we haven’t tested the Lenovo S5 Pro cameras yet. So we can’t comment much on the cameras yet. We’ll update this post when we have enough samples and idea on how the Lenovo S5 Pro performs in terms of the camera. Till then you can take a look at the camera specs of these devices mentioned above.
Lenovo S5 Pro vs Redmi Note 5 Pro : Build & Design
The Redmi Note 5 Pro is fully made out of metal. Even the Lenovo S5 Pro is built with Metal but it is a bit thinner compared to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. There is even a notch at the top of the screen on the Lenovo S5 Pro which sort of makes it look premium.

And even after the design being almost identical on both these devices I personally like the design more of the Lenovo S5 Pro. I can’t figure out a particular point here. but I just like the design more of this device.
Conclusion
